The hotel has been totally refurbisheshed in the spring 2008. All the rooms are decorated to the highest standard , fully-equipped with a range of modern amenities. The restaurant is located on the ground floor and offers both tapas style snack and a good choice of typical and international dishes with Spanish, Greek, Indian, Italian and several other cuisines. Ideal to have lunch, dinner or simply for a snack at the end of the day, is a versatile restaurant with an excellent location: right near Av. da Liberdade, in Rua Rodrigues Sampaio, one of the most central places in the city. This is a modern and impressive glass and stone structure supported by square columns. The lobby is quite small and tastefully decorated in contemporary style leading to a contemporary black and white decorated bar The hotel enjoys a top location perfect for a weekend break in the city close to the main city attractions and with excellent links to the city centre and the airport.     ok accommodation but poor breakfast offering

    Location of the hotel is good for city centre which is a 10 min stroll. Prone to street noise during the night although soundproofinng between rooms is effective. Accommodation and service of check in and cleaning staff very good as was the level of cleanliness. Hotel let

    down badly by poor quality breakfast offering - low budget fruit juice and breakfast cereal with tea/coffee served from an insulated flask jug is not what I expect from a 4* city centre hotel. In addition the bread selection and other food on offer was very limited and not of a good standard. Staff in breakfast area did not seem to be of same standard as rest of hotel suggesting that this end of the operation has been 'outsourced'. The hotel should have their policy on clothing standard on display in dining area - during my stay one other guest persisted in wearing 'sleep wear' bottoms during breakfast and he went unchallenged on each occasion.
